Proposed Diversion of part of Public Footpath FSB 116, Extinguishment FSB 23 and Creation of New

Gloucestershire County Council  are processing a public path diversion order for part of Public Footpath FSB 116, Extinguishment FSB 23 and Creation of New Paths at St Briavels, Gloucestershire.  I have attached the Pre Order consultation report together with two plans of the proposal for your consideration. Would you please let Gloucestershire County Council have your comments by the 06th August 2026.  The Parish Council has responded to say it does not object, as when debated it felt the changes were practical and safer for users.

Temporary Closure part of Hilgay Road 31st July 2026

Gloucestershire County Council intends to  temporarily close part of the 500020 Hilgay Road, from its junction with Coldharbour Road to its junction with St Briavels Restricted Byway 67, for approximately 100 metres, for electricity pole works.  The said road is expected to be closed between 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs on
31st July 2026 only.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the said road, and emergency access, will be maintained.

This road will be closed (as per the attached plan) on the 22nd June 2026 – 24th June 2026 to allow for works by Severn Trent Water.  Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained.
