ST BRIAVELS ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

 Hosted by St Briavels Parish Council at St Briavels Assembly Rooms

Wednesday 22nd May 2024  6.30-9.30pm 

We warmly invite our community organisations and parishioners to join us for what we are proud to say is a well-attended annual event to get together and share the community work, achievements and projects of our wonderful groups, hear our guest speakers and contribute on local topics in an informal and friendly session.  All are welcome to attend!

 

FORMAL NOTICE OF VACANCY

PARISH COUNCIL OF ST BRIAVELS 

VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR

There is a vacancy on the above named Parish Council caused by the resignation of Councillor Arthur Thomas.

The vacancy will be filled by bye-election if any ten registered local government electors for the said parish ward submit a written request to that effect in the manner prescribed below.                                                                         

Any request for an election to be held to fill the vacancy must be in writing and must reach the Returning Officer, Forest of Dean District Council, High Street Coleford GL16 8HG within fourteen days (not counting Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday or Bank Holidays) following the date of this notice.

Where ten valid requests for a bye-election are received by the Returning Officer then in due course called, this will be duly publicised as required by law.

If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
