STOWE ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE – GOOD NEWS!
We are aware that there have been numerous inconveniences and complaints about the closure of the Stowe Road, and the subsequent loss of access to the Valley road, and Welsh surgeries for some of our parishioners.
The works were due for completion in February 2022. We have learnt that following a serious reconsideration, the works have been accelerated and are now due to be complete by the 17th December, in 11 days time (weather etc permitting 🤞).

Reminder re Road Closures -Gigaclear -Various St Briavels:

A reminder of the following Order re road closures to allow for the safe installation of Gigaclear fibre currently very active around the parish.  The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme and  Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site by teh contractors prior to the closures taking effect. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th October 2022. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Pedestrian access and emergency access will be maintained.

Road Closure -Stowe Hill to Mork Corner

Stowe Hill / Road is closed from Stowe Green Farm to Mork corner from 11 October until 30 November for fibre installation.

Temporary Road closure 13-15 Sept Birch Hill Rd to junction Hilgay Rd

Gloucestershire County Council intend to temporarily close part of the
40017 Road from Birch Hill Road to the junction with Hilgay Road from
outside the property known as The Paddocks to outside the property known
as Hill Farm House for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
The reason for the closure is for the installation of a Boundary Box.
The roads are expected to be closed from 08:00 on 13th September 2021 until
17:00 on the 15th September 2021. For further information, please contact

Temporary road closure: 3rd August – Hudnalls Loop Rd to Birch Hill Rd

We have received notification of a GCC temporary road closure:

from junction with Hudnalls Loop Road to Birch Hill Road from outside Dorne Croft to outside Clifton Cottage for approximately 60 metres. The closure is to carry out works on the boundary box and meter. The road is expected to be closed between 09:30 and 16:30 on 3rd August 2021 only or until the works have been completed.
