Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th April at 7.30pm at the Assembly Rooms. This is an opportunity for residents and village organisations to get together to find out what is going on in the Parish. This year our guest speaker will be Sara Hodges from the British Red Cross. Refreshments will be served from 7.15pm and everyone is welcome.

Grasscutting

Our new contractor for grasscutting has been appointed and will be starting work this month. We have formally agreed to take over the grasscutting formerly done by Two Rivers Housing. This means that all the grasscutting within the village is now managed by the Parish Council and will be done to the same specification.

Cemetery Maintenance Work

The Parish Council are looking for someone to do some maintenance work in the cemetery, this includes painting of benches, repairs to stonework etc. If there is anyone who is experienced and is interested in this work, please contact the Parish Clerk.

Meeting Venues

The Parish Council will be returning to the Assembly Rooms for full Parish Council meetings and the Annual Parish Meeting from April. Committee meetings will continue to be held at the Pavilion or the School – please see noticeboards or the website for details of individual meetings.

Grit Bins

Following the snowy weather in February, the Parish Council are hoping to provide some additional grit bins around the Parish – locations have to be agreed with the Highways department who will then be responsible for ensuring they are filled with grit. If anyone has any information regarding who stole the grit bin from near the Playing Fields, the Parish Council would be grateful if this could be passed on.
