The Parish Council will be meeting again in two weeks time to appoint a grasscutting contractor and to finalise the details of the arrangement with Two Rivers Housing. Grasscutting will start in mid-March.

The Parish Council are happy to be able to support two of our village organisations which do excellent work in providing facilities for local people. It has been decided to give £3000 to the Playing Fields to go towards a new childrens play area, and £6000 to the Assembly Rooms to go towards further improvement works, specifically the replacement of the rest of the roof. This money is to come from the amount set aside for donations and from reserves.

We are sad to report that the CPRE have decided not to continue running the competition this year, because of reduced numbers of villages entering.  Our thanks to everyone who has helped in the past, and we know that our residents and organisations will want to keep the village looking at its best anyway for the benefit of ourselves and visitors to the area
